摘要:

The catalytic combustion type methane sensors based on Pd/HMS and Pd/SBA-15 are fabricated and investigated. Pd/HMS and Pd/SBA-15 were prepared by homogeneous deposition-precipitation (HDP) method. The mesoporous structures and palladium dispersion status on supports of them were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), nitrogen adsorption/desorption, and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The sensors based on Pd/HMS and Pd/SBA-15 exhibited much higher sensitivity and more rapid response and recovery rate to methane, compared to those using conventional Pd/gamma-Al2O3. It was believed that the excellent gas sensitive properties of them were derived from their high surface area, small and uniform Pd particle size, and spongy structure, which lead to highly effective surface reaction between target gas and surface active sites in Pd/HMS and Pd/SBA-15
