摘要:

This paper focuses on the gas sensing property of the NASICON (Sodium Super Ionic Conductor) based NO sensor aiming at monitoring exhaust emissions from various industrial processes and cars. The sensor device was fabricated by using alumina tube, NASICON solid electrolyte and a NiWO4 sensing electrode (SE), and then its NO sensing properties were investigated at 350 ℃. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns confirmed that the obtained NiWO4 as SE was well crystallized after sintering at 1000 degrees C The scanning electron microscope (SEM) observations showed that the SE which was covered on the NASICON solid electrolyte and sintered at 400 degrees C was smooth and uniform with 0.5-1.5 mu m sized NiWO4particles The EMF output of the sensor increased linearly with an increase of NO concentration on a logarithmic scale at each temperature examined. Among the various single-oxide or composite oxide SEs tested here, NiWO4 provided the highest sensitivity to NO at 350 ℃. The Delta EMF value to 500 ppm NO was as high as about 140 mV. The sensor device using NiWO4-SE showed fast response-recovery rate to NO and excellent selectivity over the other interference gases.
